CITY CORRIDOR

City Corridor
Metro, local history and public art, on foot

Enter the city by a different corridor and you see a different city. We follow Taichung's MRT Green Line, step off at the public art in each station, and walk into the everyday life and old trades of the streets around it.

Where this route came from

On 4 and 5 September 2026 we walked the entire Green Line over two days, together with Taichung MRT. The photographs below are from those two days. We then turned what we found into a route we can run for groups, and it is now open for booking.

台中捷運公司 × TC TIME WALK 台中時空漫步 · 2026.09.04 – 09.05

Two routes

  • 2026.09.05

Beitun Main Station → City Hall Station

The northern half. From the terminus by the depot down towards the centre, through the districts that have grown up in Taichung over the past decade.

  • 2026.09.04

City Hall Station → Wurih Station

The southern half. From the new civic centre out to the high-speed rail station, through older settlements and along the river, where the city's layers show most clearly.
