FAQ

Are your daily walking tours really free?

Yes. Our daily Time Walk tours are completely free to join — they are tip-based, so you decide what the experience was worth at the end. Workshops, summer camps and some themed events are paid; their prices are shown clearly on the booking page.

How long is a walking tour?

Walking tours run about 2.5 to 3 hours depending on group size and how much you want to linger. Workshop and camp durations are listed on each event's page.

Where do tours meet?

Tours meet at the plaza in front of the historic Taichung Prefectural Hall in Central District (台中州廳, near 1 Taiwan Blvd Section 1). Your confirmation email includes the exact address, a map pin and your guide's contact.

What languages do you offer?

Tours run in Mandarin Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean. Pick your preferred language at booking and we'll match you with a guide who can host in that language.

Are tours kid-friendly?

Families are welcome; kids aged 6+ tend to keep up with the 2.5-hour walking pace comfortably. For ages 9–15, consider our dedicated bilingual "Little City Ambassadors" summer camp.

Do tours run in the rain?

Light rain — yes, bring an umbrella and we walk on. For heavy rain or weather warnings, we email participants on the morning of the tour to reschedule or cancel; paid programmes are fully refunded if we cancel.
