About Us

TC Time Walk · 台中時空漫步

We are a local Taichung team who believe every alley carries a story worth hearing. Since 2016, we have been walking visitors through the city's historic old town — on foot, in conversation, in their own language.

What we do

  • Free Daily English Walking Tours through Taichung's central district (中區) — historic buildings, traditional markets, and the working stories of local trades. Daily departures, free of charge, register online ahead of time.
  • Bilingual Cultural Workshops: ceramics, calligraphy, traditional pastry, tea — led by local craftspeople, learning Taichung by making something with your hands.
  • Summer Camps & Youth Programmes: "Little City Ambassadors" bilingual sustainability camp for ages 9–15 — kids explore the city in two languages and walk away with a learning portfolio certificate.
  • Custom Programmes: tailor-made tours, team experiences and bilingual city courses for hotels, schools and companies.

Why us

  • Genuinely local — every guide lives in Taichung and has put down roots here. No drive-by tourist scripts.
  • Multilingual hosts — Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean. Step into the story in the language you think in.
  • Trusted at scale — 4.9 stars from 191+ Google reviews; consistently rated on TripAdvisor and Facebook.
  • Storytellers in the making — through a tiered coach system (Stage 1 up to White-Light Coach Stage 10+), we train the next generation of city storytellers.

Where we are

  • Our home base is Taichung's central district, near Taichung Train Station and Second Market — the same neighbourhood where our tours unfold.
  • You don't need to visit us first. Pick a slot directly on the registration page and we'll meet you at the start point.

How our guides grow

TC Time Walk isn't just a tour company — it's a school of city storytellers. Every guide starts at Stage 1 and advances through real-world practice, reflection and coach feedback:

  • Stage 1–3 · Observe & apprentice: shadow senior coaches on routes, build narrative fundamentals
  • Stage 4–6 · Solo guiding: confidently lead a single route, manage group dynamics
  • Stage 7–9 · Cross-route facilitation: tailor itineraries for companies, schools and overseas agencies
  • Stage 10+ · White-Light Coach: train others, design new routes, represent the team externally
